Testimonials

Making the decision to entrust your child with someone outside the family circle is awfully hard. Especially when your child has additional needs and their behaviour is nothing less than challenging.  It is made all that more difficult when you have been down the path before and have been disappointed or dissatisfied with the care provided.

When I first connected with Chisholm Community Healthcare (CCHC), it was through their Director, Nicole, via a local support group. She reached out to me in a time of real uncertainty and dismay, and offered a listening ear. There was no sales pitch, just compassion and understanding from one mum to another. Little did I know that her business would then provide such a valuable resource and support for my child and my family. I have since learnt that CCHC is focussed wholeheartedly on meeting the needs of not only its clients, and in this case my son, but they also take a very holistic view in wanting to support the family as a whole. They offer a wide range of services and will always be as flexible as possible to meet our needs. No request has ever been too hard. Their communication to date has been exemplary and they are a fantastic resource for advice or assistance.

Before contracting CCHC I had used several different NDIS registered service providers and unfortunately the majority had been far from customer focussed. The support staff were rarely matched well with our family’s needs and the inconsistency of Disability Support Workers from week to week was unsatisfactory. The whole experience was disheartening and I was reluctant to subject my son to further disruption and irregularity, when all he wanted was reliable adult supports to help in his day to day functions, engagement and social interactions.

When I first met with CCHC, Nicole took considerable time to learn about my son and the family. She was interested in knowing his likes, dislikes, triggers, accomplishments, strengths etc. She took all this on board before matching us with a potential DSW and then organised a meeting in a familiar setting for introductions. My son then met Reece and interacted with him on his own terms, which helped significantly in creating the foundation for a mutual friendship.

Reece has been my son’s DSW from day one, and I cannot adequately express my gratitude in words for his support, not to mention the relief I feel knowing my son is happy and safe. My son actually looks forward to their time together each week and for the first time in a long time, I am confident leaving him alone with someone, as Reece has proven to be competent, honest and reliable.

Some days are extremely challenging, with escalating behaviours which have deterred previous carers, but Reece must be commended in always remaining level headed. He is extremely respectful of our house rules and ensures that our routines and behaviour strategies are upheld.  Reece works very well under pressure, is honest, reliable and empathetic to our situation. He is always offering to assist in the home. The philosophy of helping the family unit is certainly one of the things that set CCHC apart from any other organisation I’ve used previously.  Reece continues to be an amazing asset and I am immensely grateful. I have absolute faith in his ability and trust him to look after my son in the home &  in the community. Reece is very proactive and will always use his initiative to make sure my son’s needs are met and welfare is upheld. The communication and care Reece demonstrates at every shift is second to none. Knowing my son has also developed trust in another adult is unbelievably heart warming.

I’m so glad I took a chance with CCHC & I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a company who puts its clients first and with the highest level of care by qualified staff available.

CCHC were the only company willing to provide this service (Boxing) as an in-home option. All staff have been on-time and are very good at what they do.

I have worked collaboratively with CCHC now for several months. We have found their service to be responsive and catered to the individual’s needs. Our clients have provided us with positive feedback about the difference CCHC has made to their lives. I would recommend them when providing support services within the community
